Three recordings for the "JH" project

When my father-in-law was planning his retirement from the University where he was working, he asked us to play at his celebration.

I was to play the guitar, Marnix (the other son-in-law) also played guitar, my father played the piccolo and (originally) nephew Jan was to play the violin, but due to work obligations he was replaced by Hilde, who was a friend of the family.

After some thinking, we decided on three songs.

En Passant par Wissant by Willem Vermandere. Originally, we played this already for our family, following a transcription by Michel Dickens. This time it was re-arranged for this rather unique combination by me.

Concerning Hobbits by Howard Shore was already arranged from a MIDI file found on the web for the marriage of Marnix with Inge, but now it was reduced to our smaller ensemble. In the end, it still sounded big enough.

Napeleon Crossing the Alps + The Pullet are two traditional Irish songs from a book, with the piano played by the two guitars.

It was also the time to learn how to properly use the Open Source Lilypond software to create the scores from a text source. I've added the PDFs of the first two, but the last is copyrighted so I could not upload it here. I did buy the book, though.
