My sister in law will get married in may 2007 and she asked a friend if she could prepare "Concerning Hobbits" by Howard Shore, from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack.As a result, she mail around to find help and we are preparing our first repetition.

• I downloaded a MIDI file and the MP3-rendition from a fan, as the original score can only be bought.
• This MIDI file was loaded into Noteworthy Composer to quickly prepare a rough print.
• We manually made an arrangement on the printout
• Then the MIDI file was loaded into Cubase where the arrangement was roughly created by separating the one MIDI track according to channel.
• The different phrases were located and the empty measures deleted.
• Some instruments were assigned and the channels rearranged.
• The MIDI file was exported again and loaded into the demo version of Finale PrintMusic (as the free Notepad version doesn't import MIDI).
• Theoretically, I could continue with the Notepad version, but as the demo will keep running for another 30 days, I continued with it.

At the moment, we haven't played together, yet, but when we do, I will try to get a recording.
